Jan specialises in Thai massage, an ancient healing art thought to have travelled from India to Thailand some 2,500 years ago, which has developed into the system used in Thailand today.

Unlike traditional massage, Thai massage is floor-based, using a futon rather than a couch. You will remain fully clothed while Jan uses his thumbs, palms, elbows – sometimes even his feet – to promote relaxation and repair by stimulating the body’s own energy flow.

Deep muscle work is combined with gentle yoga-based stretches to give enormous release of stress and tension, promote flexibility and help muscular ailments. Each session will normally end with some relaxing head and face massage to allow the body to absorb the benefits of the treatment.

Appointments last from one hour upward. Jan is also a Reiki Master and offers reiki and Indian head massage.
